hi can anybody please ease my mind one way or another
i have a joint mortgage with my wife and have a charging order on the house, can they make me sell the house to pay it , the worry is killing me. hope someone can help

Hi Neil
A charging order does not mean you have to sell the house. What it does mean is that if and when you sell the house the creditor will take equity equal to the amount on the Charging Order. In your case as the house is in joint names, the creditor can only take half of the equity equal to the amount on the charging order.
