Joined: 13 Dec 2011 Posts: 1 | hi i bought a car on hp 5yrs ago,i missed a few payments and was taken to county court,the total outstanding was £5157 i told the judge i could pay £3000 then monthly payments for the rest,i missed 1 payment so i phoned the credit company up,and told them i wanted to pay off the balance,they said the balance was £3750 i said it is £2157,i told em i wasnt paying that and they said that they will come around and take the car back,,,,,is ther anything i can do cheers |

Joined: 01 May 2007 Posts: 1037 My Profile | Did you ask for a written statement of the outstanding balance, if not ask for one. The chances are that the balance is right though as they can add certain fees etc |
