Hi

I've just completed the first year of my trust deed (it is protected). My boyfriend is in the army (debts are solely mine) so i know that his money will have nothing to do with this. He is planning on coming out the army next year and coming to live with me. Do i have to notify anyone of this and does it affect my trust deed? Any help will be most appreciated. I stay in rented accommodation.

Strictly speaking you should make your IP aware of any major changes to your income. However, having your boyfriend living with you does not really guarantee an increase your household income. He may not be able to afford to make contributions to the rent, council tax etc. Coming out of the army may cost him money he may need a car etc so just hang fire.

My advice would be wait until your boyfriend starts to live with you. If he gets a great job and is happy to making a fair contribution to his living expenses then perhaps you should pay a bit more towards your Trust Deed. Your Trust Deed has been accepted and your creditors and IP are happy with the arrangements so don't worry.

regards

George

Hi
Don't worry about your boyfriend coming to stay with you. George is right about the projected benefit which may or may not arise form your boyfriend living with you. He may have a barrow load of debt!

I am in an IVA, same as a Trust Deed and I wouldn't tell the IP if I was in your circumstances. You'll only have a year left after he stays with and you may end up supporting him, lol!

Good luck
