Joined: 09 Aug 2008 Posts: 8 | Ok i owe money to halifax and capitol one. in the forms of 2 credit crads and one loan they have both defualted. now the cap1 is with a collection comp called ncoe. i am now working and i have the money to pay them back im hard of hearing so i have written to them but no one has replied and they just keep phoning me what should i do? |

Joined: 06 Jun 2007 Posts: 96 My Profile | Hi McTank Welcome to the Forum. You should write to each of your creditors detailing your statement of affairs - a breakdown of your monthly spend. From that you can show how much you free income you have after essentials have been taken care of. For more information on DIY Debt Management check out this link. I take it you have made your creditors aware of your hearing problems. In your DIY letter reiterate this point and also of their responsibility under the Disability Discrimination Act.
