Joined: 01 Jul 2009 Posts: 9 | I'm only going on what's on other forums I read. Apparently this company get leads on people wanting to take out loans who for one reason or another have a bad credit rating. They either cold-call or text offering the chance of a loan. When you call them back they state that they are in a position to offer you a loan and ask you for some details, they then say they'll just do a credit check (which apparently they are able to do!) and then congratulate you ask you're okay to go for the loan. They then pass you on to another team member who confirms some more details before asking you for the £49.99 admin fee in order to proceed. They state that this won't be taken from your account until the paperwork for the loan is signed and returned but in reality it's taken straight away. Then comes the crunch, they aren't lenders at all and are only brokers (They don't even have a CCL of their own!) and more often than not the loan is declined but they don't return the admin fee unless you're very persistent and then after 6 months they'll cough up but they retain £5.00. As I say they seem to prey on vulnerable people who aren't really in a position to be offered finance but when they are they tend not to delve too deep into the facts ie: my mate at work. |

You should report this matter to your local trading standards department. In a former existence I used to be a trading Standards Officer so I know they will be definitely interested in this type of company. I would mention to the TS dept, 1. If you were called out of the blue tell and asked if you wanted a loan them this as it a criminal offence to canvas debt creditor agreements off trade premises. 2.Taking your money and not delivering anything is tantamount to fraud. No brokerage company can guarantee you a loan. The above two points may impact on the companies ability to hold a credit licence. Trading Standards require people like you to come forward to give evidence. Usually investigations by TS leads to a refund. Let us know how you get on and calm down ;) George |

Joined: 19 Nov 2009 Posts: 1 | well Ive fell for this aswell and i fell like a rite idiot i have gone to their website and left 2 complaints now and nothing this was my second one with still no reply from them... hi. i was cold called one of you call center staff and told that i had been excepted for a loan 3000. then asked to pay your admin fee of 49 pounds i have been made aware by trading standard that yous can only charge £4.95 for the admin costs, so if people have paid the forty nine, they are entitled to the difference back. however. when yous told me that their was an admin charge i told your call center staff that i had no money in my account and they went ahead and took the money out without my say-so causing me to get a 35 pounds bank charge. i have been told from the trading standards that If you are called out of the blue and asked if you wanted a loan then this as it a criminal offence to canvas debt creditor agreements off trade premises. 2.Taking your money and not delivering anything is tantamount to fraud. No brokerage company can guarantee you a loan. The above two points may impact on the companies ability to hold a credit license. Trading Standards require people like me to come forward and give evidence to put a stop to companies like this. i want my refund back soon as or else i will have no other option but to give my evidence to them and let them deal with it and i will make sure that the local press publish the type of scams that Ive fell for to make sure other people don't fall for it to. this is the second time that Ive emailed yous and i have called yous just to be hung up on aswell and not had eny reply. but yous seem to be able to have plenty of time to scam other people out of money... so what do yous think?... |

I wanted the people who are worried about their loans not arriving might have a good reason behind it as me and my brother in law have recieved an excellent service. |

Joined: 18 Nov 2009 Posts: 3 | I don't know what planet June George is on. As far as I am concern NOBODY should pay an upfront fee for somebody to find a loan for them, loan brokers get their fees paid from the commission. I think perhaps June George may have something to do with this company. |

Google likes to see this and this is why when you search for Direct Finance UK Ltd underneath them you'll see a hornets nest of sites all of which are dealing with complaints about Direct Finance UK Ltd. If this company decides it doesn't like what we and other websites have on our forums then they can sue us. Oh wait a minute, they called this website a scam website. With over a 1,000 posts this is the first time anyone has described our website as a scam website. I'll leave June George's post for all to see and they can make their own judgements about who June George really is. DW George (definitely no relation to June George or Direct Finance UK Ltd) oops mentioned them again ;) |

I have came to the conclusion that this is a bias forum showing negative experiences rather than helping and advising one another from our experiences. I believe its absolute nonsense, and i will be bringing it to the attention of other friends who may visit this site. |

The company Direct Finace UK Ltd said that a 10k loan had been accepted and when i had sent the paper work back then a fee of 49.99 would be payable. I have heard nothing since apart from his fee going out my account. Cheeky little *@~&# doing this. I will get my money back even if it means me going to there offices in Newport. |

Joined: 01 Dec 2009 Posts: 1 | i was also conned out of these pigs i got a call from them out of the blue after applying from loans online i was told i had been accepted for a loan of 500 pound i was then passed on to someone in a senior team where nothing was mentioned about an admin fee. the man asked for my bank details which he told me would be for the loan repayments. the next day my bank account was 49.99 overdrawn i never agreed to giving them this money ive tried to phone them cant get through. June george u can clearly see all the bad experience everyone has had about these scammers. youre very lucky if youve had a good one if this is the case they should deliver this service to ALL their customers. this was my sons child tax credit they stole which left me and my son without food and gas all week absolute CONMEN. I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK IF ITS THE LAST THING I EVER DO..... DONNA R |

Joined: 18 Dec 2009 Posts: 1 | I just had the nightmare yesterday when I checked my bank account online. I filled the application online and they ask for card detail to check your age. Nobody called, or send me any papers, they just took the money. You try to call them and there is no answer! I called my bank today, let them know, cancelled my card. The fraud department said that they will try to give me the money back but I am not sure about that. Anyway it is sucks! |
