HI, after numerous discussions with CAB and reading stuff on the insolvency website that I was guided too - I think going for a DRO might be the best thing for me. But as I am a single parent with no assets or cash i do not even have the 90 quid to pay for it.

Does anyone know how to get a charity to pay this? or has anyone had a charity pay this fee for them? there is no way i could afford bankruptcy and this seems a really good idea as I am now at my witts end

Hi evilcat
You can pay your DRO fee in instalments over 6 months but this will delay your DRO by 6 months as the Official Receiver will not start any proceedings until you have paid the fee in full.

Thanks so much for that George. I had better start saving now then. From what the CAB have done for me they have said I have no spare cash but I suppose

I will find it some how I suppose but bit gutted it will take some time cos I just want this mess to go away.
Thanks again

Many of the water and utility suppliers have charitable funds which will help with Bankruptcy fees. For ex servicemen there is also the British Legion.

Contact your local water company for advice as a start.
