I am hoping that someone can help me here.

I have overdraft debts and credit card debts that, due to a change in circumstances can't pay. The Protected trust deed seems the best option, but the problem maybe the acceptance by RBS. The majority of my debt is with RBS overdraught or credit cards.

Has anyone any experience of getting the RBS to accept trust deeds?

Having spoken to my money advisor, they recommend opening a basic bank account somewhere else. Again has anyone any recommendations for this?

You should follow the advice of the money advisor and change your bank account pdq.

I don't have any direct experience of the acceptance criteria of a PTD from RBS so can't second guess what they'll do. The thing is if they don't accept a PTD then you may have to look at bankruptcy and that means they'll get even less.
