Joined: 12 Jun 2009 Posts: 1 | The best debt advice would come from a company that doesn’t try and send you down the route they happen to sell it would be a company that looks at all the possibilities of your situation and dose what’s best for the client. Use a debt management company which look at all the solutions available by using a whole of market search. |

Joined: 13 Jun 2009 Posts: 2 | Personally I would avoid contacting any company that has a vested interest in any of the possible debt solutions. If you approach a debt management company they will undoubtedly have a slight bias on their approach and often their knowledge of the other solutions which may be available. Contacting the CAB can be a good starting point - there are waiting times for appointments in some areas but worth a try. There are many charitable organisations that offer debt advice and can offer completely impartial advice. Many local authorities now offer debt counselling services. You can probably check this out on your councils web site - or by direct.gov |
