The adviser said to stretch myself to get the balance paid off more quickly, but its not working and I am now deeper in debt. My creditors are constantly calling so I was considering taking out an IVA. My local CAB suggested I contact an Insolvency Practitioner who will help me. Will an IVA stop them calling me and when will it happen. |

However, before you enter an IVA you must stop paying your creditors, don't do this off your own bat, your IP will direct you. This will mean that the creditors will try every trick in the book to get you to pay what you owe them. There is really not much you can do about this other than make sure that you have all the relevant paperwork to hand for your IP. This will shorten the time it takes for the IVA to be put in place. Hope this helps George |
